What our members say about MTC...

Since I've been involved in the tourism industry, it's only made sense to be involved with MTC.  They've kept me abreast of legislative issues and continue to offer informative educational seminars and opportunities to network with fellow tourism partners.  My expectations since joining have been met ten-fold over the years.
Janet Campbell, Best Western Hotel & Conference Center

The Preakness is one of the nation’s largest single-day sporting events, and a beloved Maryland tradition touching three centuries. We are honored and appreciative of the support and pride that Marylanders show for Preakness.  As a result of attending the Maryland Tourism & Travel Summit, our network of friends within the industry has expanded significantly, and we’ve gained ideas and strategies we can’t wait to implement.  Preakness is thrilled to join MTC, and we look forward to working with our partners in the Travel and Tourism industry throughout the entire year. Going forward, the Summit and membership in MTC are a "must" for me.
Karin DeFrancis,
Preakness Celebration

MTC membership is very low cost for all the industry contacts, educational programs and legislative information that I get in return. I’ve been involved with MTC for over 10 years: as a Board Member, Sponsor, GTIC Steering Committee, and Speaker at Marketing Day. When you become a member…get involved!
Matt Lyle, AAA , Maryland & Pennsylvania

As a small business owner in the private sector, I try to take advantage of every opportunity to develop and improve my business, enhance the standard of living for my staff and myself, and protect what we've worked so hard to build.  Membership in the Maryland Tourism Council provides me with opportunities in all those areas and more.
Throughout the year, MTC holds informative educational sessions, which culminate during the annual Governor's Tourism Industry Conference.  This conference brings together tourism professionals from around the country for three days of stimulating classes and invaluable networking among my peers.  Perhaps most important to the continued success of my business are the knowledgeable staff and experienced lobbyists at MTC, lobbyists who share their wealth of knowledge and decades of political expertise freely, and are available whenever I call.
All of this and much more make MTC membership one of the most valuable investments I can make for my company's future.
Deb Carter, Buttonwood Beach RV Resort & Executive Director- Maryland Association of Campgrounds

The team at the Maryland Tourism Council always partners with Howard County Tourism so that we are best prepared for the legislative session. MTC generously shares their expertise and their state-wide perspective is very welcomed. MTC’s Governor’s Conference offers a wealth of information and opportunities for its attendees and exhibitors.
Rachelina Bonacci, Howard County Tourism

As a 20+ year member of MTC, The Souza Agency has grown with this critical organization. Currently, 40% of our client base is clearly involved in a segment of the tourism and hospitality industry thanks in large part to MTC.
We’re confident our membership and board involvement will continue uninterrupted for the life of our agency.
Roseanne Souza, Creative Director, The Souza Agency

I first became a member of MTC as a participant in its annual Legislative Day. I found this experience extremely informative, and it offered my first opportunity to meet with legislators about a topic near and dear to my heart--the tourism industry...I am very appreciative that the MTC staff keeps its members informed on impending legislation. Their close attention to the political scene in the state is vital.
